Collibra contends that modern organizations face challenges in delivering responsible, compliant AI while also lacking confidence in the trustworthiness of the data used in AI applications. Thrown into the mix is also a growing array of regulatory, operational, and reputational risks associated with AI that organizations must contend with.

The second recent announcement was the launch of Collibra AI, comprising a set of new generative AI features. These features empower organizations to utilize machine learning and artificial intelligence to automate data quality and governance functions.

Collibra also recently announced Collibra Data Notebook, a service designed to assist organizations in managing the increasing volumes and varieties of data across the enterprise. The service enables data teams to query, reuse, and share data, addressing challenges associated with siloed SQL data notebooks that lack integration with data catalog and data governance solutions more quickly. Using the notebook, organizations can derive more meaning, context, and insights from data sourced through Collibra.

The updates to Collibra introduce various features to enhance data governance, usability, and user experience. The notebook provides SQL access to governed data, facilitating efficient querying, exploration, and sharing of insights. An updated user interface enhances data governance accessibility through improved usability elements, such as contrast and color, alongside customizable asset pages for a tailored user experience.

“With the general availability of Collibra AI Governance and the announcement of Collibra AI, we’re committed to making the work of data teams faster and more efficient by leveraging the power of AI,” Laura Sellers, who holds a prominent position as the Chief Product Officer for Collibra, expressed in a statement. “By ensuring all data can be trusted, data leaders can reduce the risks of using AI and instead use it to drive responsible innovation within their organizations.”
