Observability startup company Coralogix Ltd. Acquired Aporia Technologies Ltd., a machine learning observability startup for an undisclosed deal amount.
Aporia is a machine-learning observability platform that was founded in 2019 and focuses on tracking and managing hidden flaws and failures in machine learning models. The business provides data scientists and machine learning teams with tools to track, oversee, analyze, and enhance their models while they are in use.
The platform offered by Aporia offers a wide range of machine learning use cases and model types, enabling users to specify customization to suit their unique requirements. To guarantee that models run dependably and transparently, the platform’s primary features include identifying data drift, bias, data integrity problems, and performance degradation.
Apart from observability, Aporia offers artificial intelligence guardrails that are intended to protect AI systems against threats including real-time attacks, data leaks, and hallucinations. Because the guardrails improve the security and dependability of AI deployments, Aporia’s platform is a well-liked option for Fortune 500 businesses and startups in a variety of industries.
Among Aporia’s notable clients are Robert Bosch GmbH, MunichRe, DoorDash Inc., Lemonade Insurance Co., Sixt SE, and Course Hero Inc.
The acquisition will provide Coralogix with an observability platform that integrates insights from software applications and AI to enable customers to obtain end-to-end visibility and generate actionable insights for quicker and more effective business outcomes. The acquisition is also anticipated “to create a significant technological player in the global market with unique technological advantages.”
Coralogix will establish a specialized AI research center called Coralogix AI as part of the acquisition agreement. The center will concentrate on addressing core issues in AI, such as transparency, security, monitoring, governance, and control, and Coralogix anticipates investing tens of millions of dollars in it over the next two years.
A unified observability platform that bridges the gap between AI systems and conventional software will be made available to Coralogix customers after the acquisition. This platform will give visibility across data pipelines, infrastructure, and applications, removing blind spots and facilitating actionable insights.
“Using Aporia’s technology and expertise, hundreds of AI teams already using Coralogix today will be able to enjoy high-quality visibility, protection and control over their AI systems,” said Coralogix Chief Executive Officer Ariel Assaraf. Chief Technology Officer Yoni Perin added that the “expansion strengthens Coralogix’s commitment to taking our AI strategy and delivering the best tech to our customers” and “our new research center will foster AI innovation and collaboration, providing our clients with the tools and environment needed to drive the future of AI systems.”
Aporia has received USD 30 million in two stages prior to its acquisition, including a USD 25 million investment in February 2022. Tiger Global Management, Samsung Next Ventures, TLV Partners Ltd., and Vertex Ventures Israel Ltd. were among the company’s investors.
