Recently, A SaaS company specializing in streamlining enterprise work and communication management through automation and AI assistance, Atomicwork Inc., has secured over USD 25 million in early-stage funding.
The Series A funding round, co-led by Z47 and Khosla Ventures, also received support from existing investors Blume Ventures, Neon Fund, and Storm Ventures, along with new participants Battery Ventures and Peak XV Partners. With its USD 11 million seed round in 2023 and an additional three million dollars in strategic funding, Atomicwork has now raised over USD 38 million in total.
The company notes that IT teams face challenges due to process-heavy tasks, requiring employees to remember lengthy procedures that take up a significant amount of time. These include repetitive tasks like password resets, account creation, software installation, and basic troubleshooting. Such duties demand considerable human effort and can become a major drain on IT resources.
Founded in 2022, Atomicwork set out to streamline these tasks through automation, much like enterprise service delivery platforms such as ServiceNow and Jira Service Management. However, the company aimed to go a step further by using AI to eliminate tedious tasks, allowing employees to focus on more creative problem-solving. When launching its agent-based AI solution last year, Atomicwork emphasized this approach, stating, “Agentic AI is for the routine, and humans are for the remarkable.”
The company’s platform seamlessly integrates with an organization’s IT stack, leveraging an enterprise knowledge graph and a unified service platform to support a team of built-in AI agents. These AI teammates can manage service desks, automate tasks, and perform work akin to human employees.
Vijay Rayapati, Co-founder and Chief Executive said in an interview, “When humans need help within a business, they raise a ticket in ServiceNow, BMC, or Jira Service Management … we are basically enabling an architecture where [agents] can actually ping a message to get help — just like human employees.”
These AI agents collaborate with IT teams by integrating with platforms like Confluence, Jira, Microsoft Exchange, Azure Active Directory, Okta, and BambooHR. This enables teams to quickly adapt, automatically identify incidents, link related issues, and efficiently resolve tasks such as updating calendar events, managing changes, and syncing repositories—seamlessly communicating across platforms in real-time.
Behind the scenes, Atomicwork leverages AI models from OpenAI, Anthropic PBC, Cohere Inc., and Meta Platforms Inc., alongside its in-house models. This combination enables the platform to understand request contexts and deliver intelligent workflow assistance.
The company stated that the funding will be used to advance its enterprise AI agent capabilities and expand its platform by integrating additional core enterprise applications and business systems.
