Google LLC launched ecosystem program which is developed to assist allies build AI agents on its cloud platform.
Additionally, the business will assist partners in selling the agents they create. In order to achieve this, the Google Cloud Marketplace is getting a new product section.
Large language models that have been tailored to carry out a particular set of tasks are known as AI agents. By providing an LLM with a dataset, such as list of product descriptions, and setting the model up to use the data in its output, developers can transform LLMs into agents. Additionally, some agents have system prompts that allow them to personalize specifics like the prompt answer style.
Google Cloud claims that its new ecosystem initiative would facilitate the development of AI agents on its platform for partners. Businesses that register will get access to technical advice from the engineering and product teams of the search engine giant. For instance, Google employees can offer advice on how to maximize the performance of an AI agent.
The business intends to provide additional technical resources as well. According to Google Cloud, partners will have early access to breakthrough AI technology, best practices, and committed support. This final benefit might speed up the process of creating products that use the newest capabilities of the cloud platform.
There is also a go-to-market element to the new ecosystem program. According to Kevin Ichhpurani, Head of Google Cloud’s worldwide partner group, Google will offer “go-to-market programs and co-selling opportunities.” Promotional blog articles, events, and associated content will be used to support marketing.
As part of the endeavor, Google Cloud is also making updates to Google Cloud Marketplace. Relevant AI products from partners are now displayed in a recently developed section called AI Agent Space.
AI Agent Space has almost a dozen products at launch. Typeface Inc., a venture-backed firm that uses artificial intelligence to create marketing materials, has one listing. It provides an agent that looks at previous campaigns and client feedback to identify methods to make company’s promotions better.
In contrast, ThoughtSpot Inc., an analytics provider, provides a product known as Spotter. An AI agent, which made its debut earlier this month, is expected to assist the company’s clients in finding valuable trends in their business data more rapidly. Spotter enables the use of natural language cues to do analyses.
“AI Agent Space is available today with solutions from select partners, and we plan to add hundreds of additional AI agents over the coming months,” Ichhpurani stated.
Competitor Microsoft Corp. is also seen stressing on AI agents at this week’s Ignite developer conference. An executive at Microsoft claimed to have the “largest enterprise AI agent ecosystem” in past few days. The tech giant’s Copilot Studio service has been utilized by over 100,000 businesses to develop or modify AI agents.
At Ignite, Microsoft unveiled a number of new Copilot Studio capabilities. Most significantly, Azure now offers over 1,800 prepackaged LLMs for users to use when creating agents. Additionally, Microsoft made improvements that will facilitate agents’ ability to integrate information from outside sources into their timely responses.
Google Cloud provides an AI agent creation tool of its own. Users can develop agents using code or natural language instructions using the Vertex AI Agent Builder, which made its debut in April.
