UiPath Inc.’s business automation platform enhances its capabilities by integrating cutting-edge generative artificial intelligence, specialized AI, and automation features. This integration will streamline the automation of a wide array of business tasks using natural language, simplifying the process significantly.
Recently, the company introduced these new functionalities during FORWARD VI, UiPath’s annual user conference, alongside the unveiling of its innovative Autopilot tool. The company highlighted that Autopilot’s capability is so robust that it can seamlessly convert paper documents into functional business applications with a single click. The platform asserts that it will unlock previously “untapped automation prospects,” ensuring the streamlined creation of novel business automation.
UiPath has maintained its status as a prominent figure in AI, attributed to its robotic process automation tools. Businesses widely adopt these tools to cut costs and minimize operational errors by automating repetitive work tasks, including data entry. The platform uses AI models that learn and replicate human processes for these tasks. These models then generate software robots capable of mimicking these workflows, eliminating the need for manual execution.
With the introduction of Autopilot, UiPath is propelling business automation to new heights by fusing generative AI with a repository of specialist AI models proficient in various tasks. The aim is to make automation incredibly user-friendly, ensuring accessibility for all.
UiPath illustrated that professional and citizen developers can use Autopilot to create automation, code, and expressions using natural language. These capabilities enable the creation of intricate workflows and the development of complete, automation-driven business applications using PDFs and image files.
Graham Sheldon, Chief Product Officer of UiPath, stated, “By taking a user’s words, screenshots, or PDFs from paper documents as an input, Autopilot for Apps can create a robust automation workflow or interfaces for automations. This enables ‘one-click digital transformation’ for organizations by taking automated action.”
Additionally, Autopilot for UiPath Assistant is an AI companion, aiding business users across the board in streamlining various tasks. One of its notable features is Clipboard AI, a time-saving functionality that simplifies copying and pasting intricate data from one application to another. UiPath mentioned that this AI companion will assist users in saving time while handling data-intensive work and tackling tedious tasks.
Autopilot for Test Suite is designed to expedite all stages of the automation testing lifecycle, resulting in the accelerated deployment of new automation into production. Furthermore, Autopilot for Process Mining empowers business analysts to craft dashboards emphasizing emerging automation opportunities.
Flo Ye, Director of Automation Solutions at Dentsu Inc., noted a distinctive aspect of UiPath’s Autopilot compared to other generative AI copilots is its ability to facilitate brainstorming and execution of actions. He stated, “In other words, Autopilot works alongside humans the way we actually work, across applications and contexts. I’m particularly excited about how Autopilot for StudioX will continue to lower the barriers to automation entry for our cohort of citizen developers at Dentsu.”
UiPath further mentioned that customers can seamlessly integrate these advanced features with high confidence, courtesy of the newly introduced AI Trust Layer. This layer acts as a management framework, ensuring robust governance of data and user interactions. The primary objective is to aid companies in effectively and responsibly overseeing the implementation of generative AI across their organizations.
Sheldon said, “The UiPath AI Trust Layer will allow customers to use these new AI capabilities with confidence, knowing their data is secure.”
